Christmas Markets — Germany
Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt
“The Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt is an enchanting experience that feels like stepping into a holiday fairytale. Nestled in the medieval Old Town, this beloved market glows with twinkling lights and overflows with handcrafted ornaments, roasted almonds, and the irresistible aroma of mulled wine. My favorite part? Watching the Christkind deliver the opening prologue. It’s such a magical and iconic moment. For an extra treat, take a behind-the-scenes tour of a traditional Lebkuchen bakery or explore the charming streets of Nuremberg’s historic center.”

Dresden Striezelmarkt
“The Striezelmarkt in Dresden is a Christmas market steeped in centuries of tradition, dating all the way back to 1434! Walking through this historic market with its cobbled streets and festive lights is like taking a step back in time. The air is filled with the sweet scent of freshly baked Stollen, a local must-try. I always recommend combining a visit here with a guided tour of Dresden’s Old Town, where you can explore incredible landmarks like the Zwinger Palace and the Frauenkirche. It’s the perfect blend of history and holiday cheer.”

Rothenburg ob der Tauber Christmas Market
“Rothenburg’s Christmas Market is the ultimate holiday escape. This picturesque town, with its cobblestone streets and charming half-timbered houses, feels straight out of a storybook. The market stalls are packed with unique handmade ornaments and nostalgic toys, and the carols echoing in the town square make it all the more magical. One of my favorite experiences here is the famous Night Watchman’s Tour. Walking the town’s streets by candlelight while hearing tales of Rothenburg’s history adds an unforgettable touch of wonder.”
