Ghent – Gravensteen Castle
“Right in the heart of Ghent, Gravensteen Castle stands as a striking reminder of the Middle Ages. I recommend taking a private guided tour to explore its towers, dungeons, and ramparts while hearing the fascinating stories of counts and knights that once called it home. Afterward, wander through the canals and cobblestone streets of Ghent’s charming historic center. For an overnight stay, I suggest the 1898 The Post Hotel, a boutique treasure set inside the city’s old post office.”

Muiden – Muiderslot Castle
“Just a short trip from Amsterdam, Muiderslot Castle is one of the Netherlands’ most iconic and picturesque fortresses. With its towers, drawbridges, and beautiful gardens, it feels like something straight out of a storybook. I recommend exploring the castle’s interiors to uncover its rich history, then taking a walk along the ramparts for stunning panoramic views. It’s a perfect day trip from Amsterdam.”

Vianden – Vianden Castle
“Vianden Castle is one of Europe’s most breathtaking hilltop fortresses, perched high above Luxembourg’s picturesque Our Valley. Uncover the fascinating history of this medieval stronghold and its remarkable restoration. The views from the castle are absolutely stunning, especially in autumn when the surrounding hills are ablaze with golden and red hues. For an elegant stay nearby, I highly suggest Château d’Urspelt, a beautifully restored castle hotel just a short drive from Vianden.”
