Carnival
“The starting gun of the carnival is fired on the Monday after Ash Wednesday at 4 a.m. sharp in total darkness. Then the beloved ‘Morgestraich’ transforms the city of Basel into a sea of lights with hand-painted lanterns, where thousands of disguised pipers and drummers accompany their lantern with music — until the ‘Ändstraich’ on Thursday morning, again at 4 a.m. What lies in between has to be experienced.”

Glacier Express
“The journey on what is probably the most famous Swiss mountain railway takes you through breathtaking mountain landscapes, over raging mountain rivers and past rugged rock faces.
